What is the truth about unlimited bandwidth and unlimited web space?
Web Hosting is a commodity. The main elements of any web hosting plan are disk space and bandwidth. Disk space is the space you have allotted on the web server to store your website. Bandwidth is an amount you have available to transfer web pages from the web server to the browsers of visitors to your site. Web pages and graphics consume bandwidth or capacity on the web. Bandwidth and disk space cost money.
The network lines that carry data around the web (optic fiber, cable, copper wire etc) have a finite capacity. There is a limit to the amount of data that can be transferred at any point in time. Likewise, the hard drive of a web server has a limited amount of space determined by the physical size of the hard drive. We offer "unlimited" plans (both disk space and bandwidth), but be aware that there are physical limitations to both disk space and bandwidth. Before you buy an "unlimited" plan, know what you're getting into. We have discussed this issue on many forums and we are well aware that there is a limit to everything. Even universe might be having its own limit. What we have in our mind is something like this:
unlimited=unmetered=whatsoever-requirement
When we say we offer 'unlimited', we mean that we will provide you that much which will be required by you. It is simple!
Why to choose unlimited web space and bandwidth?
We will like to clear you that 'unlimited' is not crap. We are in market not to cheat you. We are here to do honest and legalised business. If it's unlimited then you never need to worry about running out right? This is understandable and there are NO risks with purchasing unlimited plans because we take care all the requirements of our customers.
Is unlimited a myth?
Many web hosting companies offer "unlimited" as a plan feature. It is impossible for any provider to actually provide an unlimited amount of bandwidth or disk space. It's just not possible. Yes, if we provide you as much as web space and bandwidth you require, you can call it 'unlimited'. After all we are not stopping you for any of those 'unlimited' options/features!
Why do unlimited plans exist
Most websites only consume a very small amount of bandwidth and disk space. We bank on the fact that you won't use very much. Although selling plans that pretend to be unlimited can seem dishonest, it does not mean that we will not provide good service. Check in our Terms of Service to know more about what "unlimited" really means and what are our services.
When are unlimited plans ok?
If you have a small or medium website (about up to 100 pages or so) and know that it will not consume too much space or bandwidth, then unlimited plans make your choices a bit easier to understand. Most plans that offer unlimited will have some restrictions such as no audio or video downloads. We strictly do not allow audio and video downloads. The reason audio or video downloads are typically not allowed in unlimited hosting plans is because these types of files consume significant bandwidth and disk space which exposes the host to the risk of having to add more hard drive space and bandwidth, which costs them more money. If you choose an unlimited plan and you know your needs won't be very intensive then you won't run into any problems.
When are unlimited plans not ok?
If you intend to have a lot of visitors to your site, lots of downloads, including audio or video files, never choose an unlimited plan hoping to get unrestricted bandwidth.
So what is the best thing to do?
The best course of action is to plan ahead. Calculate what type of bandwidth and disk space you will need for your site then multiply it by 2 just to allow for expansion. Remember, you can always buy more bandwidth or disk space if you need - often for only a few dollars a month extra. Look for plans that meet those requirements. Only consider an unlimited hosting plan if you know your disk space and bandwidth requirements are very low. If, on the other hand, you have an ecommerce site or a site that you expect to grow in size and bandwidth in future, avoid any plans that offer unlimited bandwidth or disk space. Now you can see that we are honest in advicing our customers. We are in industry since 1998 and have very happy customers. Our drop out rate is only 1%/year.
Why your prices are more than other web hosts providing unlimited webspace and unlimited bandwidth?

Yes, there are many unlimited host disappearing after 2 weeks but we are not one of those. We have a dedicated staff and operate several servers. We are not just going to vanish after 5 days.

We have many spam tools available for you to use. We do not share your personal information with anybody except law enforement in certain situations.

Once you purchase your plan your features and price are set for life.
In case I violates terms and conditions by mistake how will this affect my account? Will you terminate this?
If a violation occurs then we will suspend the account. You will then contact us regarding the problem and then we will decide whether to terminate your account or not.

Not at all. You can pay monthly or yearly. You can also cancel at any time.

Account orders are setup instantaneously.

We can register .com, .org, and .net names with you as the registrant. We can also assist with registering other domains, as well (fees for registering other domains will vary by country). Please contact our sales department if you require assistance in registering other domain types.
Is my site backed up and how often?
We provide daily backups of data on our servers. However, it is the clients responsibility to do all back ups of their site. If, in the unfortunate event, something happens to your files, it is your responsibility to have a local copy of your files. We are NOT held liable in any way for any files, money, time, effort, etc... lost due to this unfortunate event. Furthermore, if your files are lost, we will attempt to restore them as a gesture of good faith, but make no promises what so ever about whether the files will be brought back successfully or not. Again, back ups are the client's responsibility.
How fast are your connections?
Our servers are located in the Network Access Corporation (NAC) Network Operations Center (NOC) in Houston, Texas. The network is monitored around the clock. NAC offers 15 diverse OC3 and DS3 connections to multiple backbones.
What are your server specifications?
Current servers are 3.2GHz Intel P4 machines with 1GB of RAM and 2.8GHz Dual XEON with 1GB RAM.
I changed my control panel password and now I can't get in?
Passwords are case sensitive and are limited to 8 characters. If you entered a password longer than 8 characters please try entering the first 8 characters when logging into your control panel.
How do I get my email?
If you're familiar with your email client's setup, use the following information to retrieve email from your POP account:
Incoming mail (POP3) server:

I want to get started right away, but my domain name hasn't transferred/isn't in the database yet. How do I do it?
After your domain is fully propagated through the system, you can upload to yourdomain.com via FTP or FrontPage Extensions.

Where should I put CGI scripts for my domain?
All CGI scripts should be uploaded to the cgi-bin folder, for your domain. Be sure to follow the instructions for the script you are uploading regarding setting permissions on the files and folders you create, as they vary from script to script.
I uploaded my files, but I don't see my page?
If our default "Welcome to the Future home of", index.html, has not been replaced by another index page, then anyone going to domainname.com will still see that page instead of some other home page. This is the order in which the web server looks for a page to put up as the "home" page: >DirectoryIndex: index.html, index.shtml Just delete the index.html file and anything after it in this list will then come up automatically. Notice that "home.shtml" is NOT on the list and so will not show up as your home page. You would need to rename it.
Can I upgrade my plan or features later?
You can purchase new or expanded features, or upgrade to a new plan. There is no set up fee for upgrading.
How can I change my account or billing information?
If you need to update your account or billing information please contact us.
What happens if I go over the bandwidth limit for my account?
If you exceed the bandwidth limit for your account the overage amount will be billed at a rate of $5 per gigabyte per month.
What is the cost for additional features?
You can always upgrade your account to a larger package. If you would rather purchase extra bandwidth or disk space, the prices are:
Disk space - $1.50 per gigabyte per month.
Bandwidth - $1.50 per gigabyte per month.

How do I cancel my Account?
You can cancel your account at any time by contacting us. There are no cancellation fees, and no notice is required. Any fees paid to that point are non-refundable, unless cancellation is made within 30 days of opening the account. Please see our Acceptable Use Policy for further information.
What about billing and over due policies?
Accounts will be given a grace period of 7 days, if payment is not received within the grace period your account will be deleted from our servers.
